Judith Viorst is a prominent children's author whose book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" has a place on the bookshelf of every elementary school classroom. Judith is now 94, and in the shadow of her husband's recent death, has written a small book of thoughts on aging. She offers humorous advice from her own experience and those of other residents in the RC (retirement community). Her antedotes serve as introduction to our panel of speakers who will give us their best 10 minute words of advise on brain health, exercise, book clubs and downsizing. It won't be doom and gloom, but an exhilerating discussion and humorous take on "when are we too old to get the chairs reupholstered"! Music interludes will add to the program and lunch will feature seasonal spring dishes.
Turkey Tetrazzini with Spring Peas
Turano Breadsticks
